The Smartkits 2022 "I Built It Smarter" Photo Competition has been run and won!

With $50,000 in prizes, this is probably Australia's fastest growing DIY renovation competition of all time. 2020 we gave away $2000 as first prize, in 2021 that grew to $5000 and this year, in 2022, first prize was a massive $25,000!  A life changing amount of money !

This year we were super fortunate to have 2 very qualified guest judges, alongside our MD Scott Challen,  helping us choose the winning entries. 

Aimee Stanton @aimeekatestanton also known as the "Lady Tradie". She is a plumber turned tiny house builder, presenter and public speaker. She is also a vocal advocate for women in the trades. Her bubbly personality and building knowledge was awesome to have on board for the live stream.

Keith Schleiger @theblockinator needs no introduction in the world of DIY and television. Known as The Blockinator on Australia's popular TV show - The Block, he is the forman extraordinaire. His dry acerbic wit and extensive building knowledge was great, and the banter between the "chippie" and "the plumber" on the live stream was an absolute charm!  (Make sure you watch the video tagged below)

Our lucky 1st place winners with a prize of $25,000 were

 We had over 120 entrants, 7500 votes and 1271 shares and we capped it off by donating a massive $11,350.00 to Due South Australia. This was a super proud moment for SmartKits owner Scott who presented the cheque to Jo from Due South. Thank you to everyone who supported us during our fundraiser.
